VIRTUAL ART SHOW
BESIDE STILL WATERS
Launched May 1, 2020
An immersive, 7-minute virtual art experience
A curated collection of twelve Massachusetts landscape paintings by Deidre Tao explores themes of tranquility and reflection as an artistic offering during the COVID-19 crisis. You will hear the voices of Boston area art collectors and enthusiasts as they speak about the paintings. This virtual show was presented through two host presenters: The Cambridge Stream Festival, presented by the Cambridge Arts Council, and ArtWeek Boston At Home, produced by the Boch Center and presented by the Highland Street Foundation.
Tao's work is described by Jessica Roscio, Interim Director and Curator of the Danforth Museum of Art: "Her use of line and rendering of light, reminiscent of American Barbizon paintings, clearly translate different moments of the day and year, resulting in works that convey a unique sense of place... Each of her renderings beautifully capture the spirit of her subject."
