I derive inspiration from the New England landscape where my family settled many generations ago and that I myself grew up in. Having spent most of my youth in times of both fun play and in solitary reflection by our pond or at the beach in all seasons, the theme of water is a through-line in my life and artwork.
With a passion for color, movement, and brushwork, I strive to facilitate an emotional and spiritual connection between my viewers and the landscapes I portray.
I explore the relationship between sky, water, and land in my ongoing series of paintings, Water’s Edge. Shorelines of rivers, marshes, dunes, and oceans have been an exciting springboard for this expression.
