Place of Peace
Place of Peace was inspired by a painting retreat to Provincetown, MA along the reserved land of the Cape Cod National Seashore. I set up my easel in the dunes and sketched at this exact site. After sketching and taking multiple photos, I created this painting over several weeks in the studio.
This piece went on to win a People's Choice award in Cambridge. It was enlarged as an installed image in a shop window along Massachusetts Avenue, and was one of the featured artworks in the Boston Globe's article on the City of Cambridge's efforts to bring local artists' two-dimensional works to the public sphere.
