This piece is inspired from Coast Guard Beach on the outer Cape. I was struck by the sunlight creating a spotlight effect on the water during a walk I took on this beach. The glow on the sand and the play of light and color on the dune grasses captivated me. I think this piece might convey evening or morning, depending on mood or lighting on the piece. The time of day is elusive, and I like leaving that mystery open to the viewer.
