During the lockdown period of the pandemic last year, friends let us use their summer house in Westport so that we could get out of our home in the city for a little while. It was a relief for the four of us to get a change of scenery. We visited this beach at low tide and walked out onto long stretches of sunlit tidal pools and wet sand. I was struck by the variations of colors of the reflections and the movement of the water in the shallow areas, like a brook.
