This painting represents part of the Sippewisset Marsh in Falmouth, Massachusetts (Cape Cod).

It felt amazing to witness sea water slowly filling up the foreground in at high tide. Beyond the marsh you could just see and hear the ocean, the buffer of land and sand bars creating a lush, green horizon line. Wind and water created movement while the dense plant life anchored the scene. The word "Sippewissett" comes from the Wampanoag language and means "little cove" or "little river."

As of April 2026, this piece is owned by nonprofit nature conservation organization Buzzards Bay Coalition in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
