Little Sippewisset Marsh on Cape Cod, Falmouth, Massachusetts
It felt amazing to witness sea water slowly filling up the foreground in at high tide. Beyond the marsh you could just see and hear the ocean, the buffer of land and sand bars creating a lush, green horizon line. Wind and water created movement while the dense plant life anchored the scene. The word "Sippewissett" comes from the Wampanoag language and means "little cove" or "little river." The Wampanoag have been the original inhabitants of this area for thousands of years.
