HALF DOZEN WELLFLEET OYSTERS

Eight months ago, I took an artist's retreat to Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown. One of my favorite things about going on these self-guided retreats is that I can be spontaneous! I plan where I'll stay, and research the beaches or areas I want to make sure to draw and photograph, but beyond that, I like leaving a lot of other things to chance. I embrace divine appointments and love to "carpe diem" while on retreat.

I was driving around Wellfleet when I came upon this little seafood cafe. Perfect! The oysters were ice cold and so delicious. As I ate at the picnic bench, I watched a boat in the inlet make its way to a truck to unload... (to continue reading this blog post, click HERE).
